Here we are on the last night of 2015. You have probably made a list in your head of all the (unrealistic) New Years resolutions you hope take with you into 2016..but incase those don't work out, here is a list of New Years resolutions that anyone is capable of AND will help change your life..for the best!
Go get yourself a cute, cheap, 8 oz water bottle (like these) and have a goal to fill it up and drink 8 glasses of water a day. You can even start with 2 glasses a day, then 3, and so on. According to WebMD, drinking 8 glasses of water a day helps maintain the balance of body fluids, helps control calorie intake, energizes muscles, keeps skin healthy and beautiful, and does amazing things for your kidneys.
Volunteer once a month. Choose something that you are passionate about, whether it be children, animals, the environment, the elder, literally ANYTHING. There are non profit organization for any cause you care about. All it takes is a 2 minute search on Google. Not only will you be helping those who are in need, but also yourself. According to HelpGuide.org, volunteering helps increase self-confidence, provides a sense of purpose, combats depression, and helps you stay physically healthy. There is something powerful about helping others and giving back. Volunteering is also a great way to get your family out of the house and working on something rewarding together. Above all else, you know what they say, what goes around comes around.
You want to eat better? Try one new recipe a week. Seriously, get on Pinterest and get going. They have healthy recipes for every single dish your heart desires. Pick one night a week and plan out a brand new meal for you, your family, your friends, or whomever. There is nothing better than a healthy home cooked meal. (also keep checking the blog for yummy recipes)
Get a piggy bank and start saving your coins at the end of each day. This will change your life - I promise you will be absolutely AMAZED at the money you can rack up by saving your coins.
Get rid of a habit by replacing it with a good habit. Do you bite your nails? Give it up for something like crunches. Every time you catch yourself biting your nails, drop and give me 20. By your 1000th crunch of the day, your nails won't be worth it. Make sure to tell the people you are around the most so they can hold you to it!
Most importantly ya'll.....
START BELIEVING IN YOURSELF
We know you can do it.
Happy New Year!
