WHIP UP SOME WINTER

Let's talk winter desserts..

(because we all know sweater weather = that extra piece of pie)

Nothing satifys the southern sweet tooth more than a good slice of warm pie. Some classic favorites would include apple, peach, blackberry, and pecan. But what sets apart a good pie from a great pie? If you ask us -- the crust and the whip on top. It's time to stop taking the easy way out (cough cough store bought crust and cool whip) and start putting some real love and thought into our desserts! "But that takes hours" they say, however i'm here to bring good news: we have the recipes for the best crust and most delcious whip and it's E A S Y. Literally anyone can do this. You. Can. Do. It.

After years of tasting countless pie crusts, the people over at Southern Grace have agreed that a flaky, buttery crust is the key to great flavor. Williams Sonoma shared this recipe that I, a non-cooker myself tried, and man, is it good.

What you'll need:

1 1/4 cups unbleached a

ll-purpose flour

1 Tbs. sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

8 Tbs. (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch cubes

3 Tbs. very cold water

The prep time for this is 15 MINUTES... seriously who doesnt have 15 minutes....
